blog.seventy-seven // I’m writing this Sunday evening, twenty-four hours after we hosted our second Block Party.
We couldn’t be more grateful for the sixty of you or so who popped out last night to celebrate with us. These events are always a lot of work, but it really feels like we’re building some momentum here, and we couldn’t be more proud of building that momentum right here in Chicago.
We’ll have a bigger recap to share soon enough. For now, scroll down to check out some photos from the event—thanks to the great Cris Campos for capturing the festivities. Additional thanks to:
Zak Chaouki for co-producing, as well as Judd Karn for assisting;
Ty and the Drip Collective team for lending us the venue;
Daren, Ava, Kat, and Elijah for joining us for fireside conversations;
Fourthwall, Notion, and The Brand Safety Institute for sponsoring;
And Moy and Shua for co-hosting—along with bringing this all to life.

Oh, and by the way…Issue 6: “WHERE DID YOU GO?” is out now! We received them in-person in the studio on Friday, and the spread came out incredible. After months of hard work bringing this issue to life, we always love getting to share the physical thing for the first time with you all in-person at the Block Party.
If you’ve had a chance to read it, leave a comment or hit reply to let us know what you think! We’ll start shipping out orders to members and additional customers throughout this upcoming week.

P.S. Last blog, we reviewed a YouTube video described, quite literally, as “a bad idea.” You can read our review here.

Here’s How We Organize Our World 🗺️
Every quarter, we release a magazine.
But we don’t just communicate through the printed page—we reach our readers through their For You page, their email inbox, and even in real life.
The Internet lets us tell stories across mediums, which is exciting. It can also become overwhelming to develop so many different projects very quickly.
That’s why we use Notion to organize our creativity. Our workspace includes…
A Roadmap to keep projects on track
A Budget Planner to set expectations
A Bucket to scribble down big ideas
And a Contributor Submission form to sort story pitches.
Creator Mag readers get up to 1 year of free Notion Plus—get started on Notion today.
P.S. Reply to this email and we’ll send you a templatized version of our Notion workspace!
Take any photos at the Block Party? Feel free to send them our way—we’d love to feature them in our next blog.
Thanks for reading! Shoot us a reply, comment, or DM if anything resonated with you in particular—we respond to them all.
