Happy Sunday, all. I’m writing this from a Starbucks in San Dimas, California. “Lifeline” by the great Alicia Keys is blasting over the speakers. It’s 5:52 p.m. PT.
Shua and I flew into Los Angeles for the weekend. Today was a shoot day, and we started first thing in the morning. It’s been a tiring twenty-four hours, but a productive one at that. I’m feeling endlessly grateful for the friends who contributed to the shoot—we’ll be rolling this project out in a couple weeks.
For now, it is Sunday. And as the saying goes, the blog must go on.
Still, this evening’s will be a short one at that. I wanted to pop in and mention two things. First, the second video episode of the season, “How to Live a More Whimsical Life,” is out now. You can watch it below.
I took a lot of inspiration from How To With John Wilson for this one. It’s an HBO documentary series that captures the mundane with a surrealist twist. I’m not sure if I reached the highs of John Wilson’s work, but I’m really proud of how this one turned out—and I believe it speaks to the abundantly weird cultural moment we’re currently living through.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by the studio on Thursday for the premiere. The thirty-minute conversations this episode has prompted have been truly incredible; as a writer and creative person, that’s the ultimate desired outcome anytime I sit in the Google Doc for months at a time. You can watch “How to Live a More Whimsical Life” here—an adapted version of this story will also appear in the print edition on March 29.
Speaking of which, the other thing: We’re going to reveal the first Creator Mag cover story tomorrow.* We’ve been working on it for a long, long time, and we can’t wait for you to read it—and hold the magazine in your hands.
You can expect that reveal to arrive in your inbox in the early afternoon, as well as an extended peek into the cover story. You’ll also be able to preorder Creator Mag in our store for the first time.
The limited-edition print zine will cost $25. Additionally, if you sign up for an annual subscription, you’ll receive all four of our 2025 issues in the mail for $60 (a 40% discount!) along with additional membership perks.
Alright, that’s all from me tonight. We’re gonna run and grab dinner. San Dimas High School Football rules!**

* This is actually the second coffee shop we’ve been in today. This morning, a guy saw us with our cameras and asked if we were vloggers. When we essentially replied, “Sure,” he asked us what we do.
We told him we document the creator world and make a magazine. He asked, “Have you interviewed anyone famous I would know?” I told him our cover stars, to which he replied, “I’ve never heard of them. What about Logan Paul? Or even Jake Paul?”
** Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure is one of my mom’s favorite movies. We probably watched it five-to-ten times a year growing up. While I may be exaggerating there, I can confirm that she raised us well.
